The Southern Gulf Islands has some of the best sailing and kayaking available in the world. Wildlife encounters include Orcas, minke and gray whales, porpoise, otters, seals, sea llions, and an vast array marine bird life. Each day we will explore new areas and each night will find us in a new anchorage. One of the greatest advantages of Kayaking from a Mothership is being able to reach secluded spots away from the reach of other kayakers.

Our home base is a solid very comfortable, ocean going sailing ketch, approved and inspected by the Canadian Coast Guard. We normally carry no more than 4 overnight passengers, with a variety of comfortable berths for single persons and couples in private cabins. Come discover some of the world's most diverse ecologies, observe and photograph all forms of wildlife, take a turn steering as we set sail on an experience of a lifetime! Your participation is encouraged. This saiing vessel will accommodate families, corporate getaways and friends who want to experience a very memorable holiday together.

Bill Elford has over 9 years experience as an ocean kayaker/instructor, As well as a 35 yrs as a professional photographer/illustrator, We will take care of every aspect of your voyage through our magnificent Gulf Islands Desolation Sound, and North Vancouver Island.

We serve gourmet meals, using fresh organic produce when possible, prepared by your crew, comfortable accommodations and hot showers on board.

Sea Otter Kayaking, it's guides and crew are dedicated to preserving the wild nature of our gulf islands and strive to minimize our impact on ecologically sensitive areas.

We can sail and kayak through the proposed new Southern Gulf Islands and the "Orca Pass International Marine Conservation Area" which is located between Canada and the USA. Orca Pass is home to three resident pods of Orca Whales.

Your trip is all inclusive. By this we mean you only have to bring personal gear and we supply everything else.
